For Every Season

I was so excited when For Every Season by Cindy Woodsmall arrived at my door; I recently read the second book in the “Amish Vines and Orchards” series and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book, the third in the series.  This book continues the story of Rhoda Byler, a young Amish woman who has moved to Maine with a few Amish families to start a new community and merge her canning business with one of the other family’s apple orchard.  Rhoda is nearly engaged to Jacob, whose family owns the orchard, but is caught in a bit of a love triangle with Jacob’s brother Samuel.  We see the resolution of the triangle as well as her acceptance of the strange gifting that God has given her.

The fourth book in the series comes out next year and I am already yearning to read it!  I would definitely recommend this series as an interesting and relatively quick read.  You can pick up a copy for yourself at Amazon.com, where you can also preview the first chapter.
