Wishing on Willows is a new book by Katie Ganshert that releases next month. I don’t usually pick books up that I know will be tear jerkers, but I have no regrets about grabbing this one. It tells the story of Robin Price, a young woman who loses her husband just as she discovers that she is pregnant and the life that she builds after his untimely death. When her son is almost four, a development deal in her small town threatens the coffee shop/cafe that is the dream of Robin and her late husband. Problem is, the developer is a good guy, who also just happens to be gorgeous, but with a sad past of his own. As they each struggle through their painful past and fight their attraction to each other, a beautiful story about love lost, God’s grace, and moving on in spite of pain is told.
I definitely shed some tears as I read this story, so be prepared with a box of tissues if you pick up a copy for yourself, and I suggest you do. You can get a sneak peak of the book here.
I received this book for free through the Blogging for Books program through WaterBrook Multnomah. All opinions are 100% mine. Don’t forget to rate my review!
