The Fourth Fisherman

The Fourth Fisherman by Joe Kissack is a true story that weaves Joe’s personal history of grace and redemption with the lives of three Mexican fishermen who were lost at sea for nearly nine months.  Joe is a former TV executive who “had it all”, but was totally empty inside, and was filled only when he recognized his need for Christ.  The fishermen were lost at sea, but had all that they needed because they had their faith in the Lord and He provided for them.

I had never heard the story of these Mexican fishermen and it is really astounding.  These men miraculously survived a totally impossible situation that is worthy of a movie deal, and yet, their story has largely been untold.  This book is worth the read just to hear their story.  It is amazing.  You can start reading the first chapter here.  You can also get a copy for yourself here.  I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did!

BloggingForBooks-125x125I received a copy of this book for free as part of the Blogging for Books program through WaterBrook Multnomah.  All opinions are 100% mine.  Don’t forget to rate my review on their website!
