Interesting

Not that this is really breaking news… lots of people have know this for a long time, but research indicates that all of the chemicals in our everyday stuff affects reproduction, among other things.  This is why I’m trying to make a conscious effort to reduce fake stuff in my diet and in my home.  Check it out.

  1. Yuck! That’s ironic that you posted that link today. Yesterday I was in the grocery store and I overheard a family talking about it. We put way too much toxic stuff in our bodies. 😦

  2. We changed to all natural cleaning products when Olive came along. I just didn’t see the safety of cleaning a bathtub with bleach and then putting her in it.

We invested in a starter kit from Shaklee, which is all concentrates and stuff and it lasts a long time. It was not cheap, but so worth it for the peace of mind.

Good for you for thinking all of this through now. Honestly none of this even entered my mind until Olive came along.

  3. It’s scary how many chemicals are in everything! I use vinegar and baking soda now to clean everything – I found out it’s actually more effective as a disinfectant than bleach.

I’m also pretty sure I miscarried in August because the house we were living in still smelled of all the artificial/chemical saturated construction material. Another weird thing: After New Tribes Mission put new carpeting in (artificial fibers/chemical glue), many of the women that lived there miscarried :/

  4. I’m so sorry to hear about your miscarriage 😦

It is really scary to think about all of the chemical we surround ourselves with. I think I want wood floors. Everywhere. But then there is still the problem of glue and wood treatments.
